Dollywood's Splash Country features more than 23 water adventure slides and thrill rides - from the daring drops of Big Bear Plunge, a white water rafting ride, to the twisting turns of the Mountain Scream body slide ride. Two interactive children's playground areas: the Lazy River and Little Creek Falls.
We took our son to Dolly Wood's Splash Country a few times last summer. With the season tickets about the same as a two day pass, it made sense to get the season tickets. There is something there for everyone. There are kiddie water parks for the little ones and huge slides for the older ones! It has a great family atmosphere and ther eare lots of water rides to do as a family. The food is a bit expensive, but it's to be expected at any park. Also, for a small fee, you can rent a locker. I have a feeling this summer we will be getting season passes again.
This water park is a blast! There is so much to do. We took a very young child (1 1/2 years) and still had a great time. There were several areas for smaller kids to play in and plenty for big kids too! Though expensive - it would be worth it to rent one of the covered huts if you are planning on being there all day!
We get season passes to Dollywood's Splash Country every year! We love to go and spend the day at the park! The only thing that I do not like is the high prices on food. When we go we take our lunch and go out of the park and eat and then come back in. This saves us a lot of money on food and snacks! Also get a locker! That is best way to keep up with everything!
Dollywood Splash Country is a little expensive, particularly if you take a small child. There is an area for small children, but I personally don't think it is worth the money. BUT, if you are taking a child who is a little bit older who can ride all of the slides, this park is excellent! Dollywood also has a deal where if you come after 3 pm, you get to come back the next day for free. To me, this deal makes it worth the price of the ticket.
Splash Country is great for families. You can hit all the rides or just lay out and relax while the kids play. Be sure to hit the lazy river.Prices are reasonable. Lines are not too terribly long. Nice atmosphere as well. Nice one day trip for the whole family.
Dollywood does it again for family friendly here! I was nervous taking a non-swimmer here, but he loved it. They do a wonderful job of keeping the areas clean and the people are so friendly. The lifeguards make sure that kids take turns and that one child is off the slide before another is allowed to go. We were even able to ride a few of the actual slides and had a blast. There are several different zero entry pools with activities for the kids. We were able to wear Teva sandals in the pool areas and slides that used rafts, but had to remove them for the other slides. To avoid long lines, go early in the morning and on mid week day (Wednesday or Thursday).
This is excellent for little children, as far as older children not soo great. There is really not alot of differat choices and the lines are OH very long due to not having many to choose from. As far as little children it is great they have 3 differant parts for small children to enjoy.
I believe myself to be an experienced reviewer of water parks. I have been to many if not all of the parks in Florida as well as other water parks adjoined to major theme parks. If I had to name the one highlight of my trip to Pigeon Forge (other than the mountains), I would have to give the big thumbs up to Dollywood's Splash Country. This is one excellent theme park. Let me begin by saying that is great for children and adults of any age. I cannot say this about all water parks. One great option that made it manageable for my parents who traveled with me, was the retreat. A retreat rental is a nice size shelter with a table with six chairs, television, ceiling fan, sun deck, and privacy curtains. This rental - which must be done way in advance, will allow everyone in the family to stay at the water park ALL DAY without wearing out. The areas for children and small children were very nice. My five year old had many options. I can say the same about my teens who loved the more extreme slides. I must also mention that my parents, both in their 70's, listed this as their favorite water park experience. Theming is nice and prices are fair. Don't miss a day at this water park while in Pigeon Forge - it is well worth the money!
Dollywood's Splash Country is great fun. There are several really nice big slides, a decent wave pool which is always super crowded, a lazy river, and three kiddie areas for the little ones. If you can get one, I'd recommend renting one of the cabanas to make your day even more fun and relaxing. They sometimes have food specials which help save a little money, too.
I was a little worried about being in a bathing suit in such a public place, but believe me there was no reason to be because no one else was:) Well worth the trip for a relaxing wet family fun day.
There is something for every age, the admission is standard for a waterpark. Remember to bring your towels and sunscreen. Everything else is available for purchase. Food prices are reasonable, if you can pack snacks for the day you can save some money. This is relatively new, so the locals will be causing more of the lines than visitors. Lines do not take long to get to the rides.
What a wonderful place to take your whole family, they have rides for everyone. The price isn't to expensive, and it joins up with Dollywood. There are passes that you can purchase to attend both parks. Remember to take towels, and sunscreen. Everything else you can either purchase, or bring a cooler for lunch and snacks. Plenty of water fun for the whole family
I had been apprehensive to visit Splash Country. I was afraid I would feel uncomfortable in my swimsuit. I went with a friend and it was wonderful!
My 3 year old daughter loved the children's areas. My favorite spot was the lazy river. I could have stayed there for hours!
The staff was very nice and helpful when I had questions.
We had as close to a perfect day as you can get at Splash Country! My 2-yr-old daughter had a blast! We got there when they opened, and stayed until they closed. They have so much for kids - two different areas for toddlers, and one great area for older kids. Then of course tons of fun stuff for the adults. We rented a cabana for just $25 for the whole day - it is a small covered area with two lounge chairs and a locked box b/t them to hold all your belongings. Since we had never been before, a staff member greeted us and escorted us to our cabana, pointing out all the attractions along the way. The largest toddler area, where our cabana was, is at the back of the park, with one way in and out, so there's not a lot of extra traffic passing through. No complaints!
This is a really fun waterpark. My son (who doesn't ride ANYTHING) even got up the courage to try a couple of the smaller waterslides. I could stay on the lazy river all day. The wave pool is so big that it never feels crowded. If you have a group, rent a retreat. It is so worth the money! You get a TV, tables, lounge chairs, and food delivery!
