A place that brings together amazing performers, horse feats, fantastic stunt riders, magic and even audience participation combined with a tasty four-course dinner all at an amazing price!
We visited Dixie Stampede with our kids who at the time ranged in age from 2-9. We went at Christmas time and it was great! I was a little worried that it wouldn't keep the little boys' interest but they loved it too. They were fascinated by the show and especially loved the animals. The food was delicious and there was a lot of it! We took quite a bit home with us. The performance was great and they involved the audience. The only downside was the price. It was a little expensive but we got 2 coupons for free child's admission through the kids club at Food City (they send them one on their birthday). It was a fun, unique experience and I'd love to go again!
Hi I am a mother of two children and we have been to the Dixie Stampede three times and we love it. They are always changing up the show so it is not like you will be seeing the same show each time you go which would be boring the reason why I have rated it a four out of five is because it can get a bit pricey but when you get seated and they bring out these huge dinner dishes you will soon forget what you paid I would recommend this for families of all ages it will be an exciting experience you wont forget.
The Dixie Stampede was so much fun! What is better than watching a show while eating with your fingers. During the show, each side is given a team to cheer for. They make the show as interactive as possible. You also have a waiter that serves you a huge meal to eat while you watch. It was a wonderful southern meal that was large enough to feed at least 2 people. I would highly recommend making plans to attend this dinner show!
What a fun show and a yummy dinner to boot! I would pay money to see this again! It was well executed and kept you on the edge of your seat throughout! The meal was scrumptious and more than enough too! You will not be sorry if you go to this dinner/show!
My family has been going to the Dixie Stampede for years...and will continue to! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it's a bit pricey...but what tourist thing isn't?! Dixie Stampede offers a great dinner show which divides the arena into a North VS. South showdown! Great entertainment for the whole family...and on top of that GREAT FOOD! WE LOVE THE SOUP! Highly reccomended for all ages!
We really enjoyed Dixie Stampede. We went at Christmas so there was some of the regular North/South stuff, but also a nativity complete with live animals. When the wise men came in riding camels I was floored. We will look forward to taking our kids along when they get a little older.
We love going to the dixie stampede. Not only is the show fun and entertaining but the food is really good too. They give you a wonderful cup of soap and then some chicken...followed by an awesome turnover. The tea is good too. I would recommend going to the dixie stampede. Its fun for the whole family and a nice meal out.
My kids loved this place. They loved the show, the food was good, and the staff was awesome. The show was very lively and kept their interest the whole time. The horse riding was great. The staff was so nice and polite. They were very interested in making the show positive. The price was good value for show and huge meal.
We decided on our Gatlinburg vacation that we had to take in a show, and the Dixie Stampede is the one we wanted to see. I am so glad we did! The pre-show was great! We all sat at long tables drinking from our Dixie Stampede boot cups listening to good old mountain music (love, love, love it!).
When we were ushered in we found our seats with ease, and enjoyed an amazing show of horses, riders, and other dinner guests. I love that they bring regular people into the games that they play to help the north and south teams. It makes it so that you don't know which side will win until the very end, because it is determined by all the games that are played (we were wondering how it worked before we went). We even had a flag race where each row had to get their flag all the way from one side to the other. The side to get all their flags to the end won (my daughter started it for our row!). And speaking of flags, they sold flags with the name of the show on them, and depending on what side you sat on (north or south) you got that color (blue or gray). They were $2, so I couldn't pass them up.
The food was wonderful. It was more than I eat in a normal sitting, but I figured "when in Rome!" Luckily though they give you doggy bags to bring any left overs home :)
The light display at the end with Dolly's song was beautiful, and when we got back to our resort my kids (ages 7, 5 and 3) acted out the stampede along with the song (what they could remember of it)
Definitely a must see, just know that you're going to spend money.
One word of "warning," they do take a picture of you before the show, and sell them to you during the show. You get two (it would have been nice if ours were two different poses as opposed to two different background ~pic taken in front of green screen) in a "folder" for $20
This show was a lot of fun for everyone. The entertainment and talent of the people involved is great! there are live animals used in the show so if you have problems eating around animals this is not the show for you. It was a very patriotic show and they paid tribute to our great country and those who have fought which was emotional but very well deserved. It was good exciting fun for the whole family!
Everyone had fun and the food was great. The only bad part was we had to pay for a childs ticket ($25) for our 6 month old (at the time-who used a high chair). Unless he sat in our lap, in which case there would have been no charge, but there was no way we could have held him in our laps for that long so we had to buy a ticket for him. But oh well, they did bring out a complete meal and drink for "him" which we took home in a doggy bag for lunch the next day. But we had a nice time and the show was great!
What an excitement. Well worth the money spent to see the show. Do not expect to get silverware with your dinner, it is all eaten with your fingers. Do not drink your beverage fast, there are a lot of servers but many more people. The show is awesome, they do awesome stunts on horseback. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you can find coupons to make the tickets cheaper it is so worth the money to see.
Our daughter was only 19 months old when we took her, but she had a blast. There is time to wait before you enter the arena for the dinner and show (your chance to buy a drink that comes in a plastic boot cup), but once you're in, it's amazing. The show is non-stop rodeo theater, and the food is very yummy (creamy veg soup, mini chicken (cornish hen?), etc) that you eat with fingers only. The serving staff is super fast and energetic. It's an expensive meal, but the experience is worth it!
I loved this experience. the dixie stampede has a amazing energy. you cant help but be excited while watching the amazing show. its an interractive show taking people from the audience to help with skits and playing games. it also helps that while the show is on you are eating amazing food. i would recommend this to anyone. all ages.
This so much fun! Everyone in our party enjoyed both the food (especially the vegetable soup-yummy!) and the entertainment. One of the most fun things about this dinner was the look on the kids' face when they found out there was no silverware! Make sure you take cash to tip your server because gratuity is not included and there is no way to put it on your credit card.
