"GO EARLY"

Be there when it opens. If you can catch the magical hours in the AM, do it. They have a Lion King opening ceremony. Do the safari first because it will become a bit of a wait as it is the major attraction. Utilize the fast pass because they do run out. I didn't know that. They advise you to do the safari in the AM because the Animals are more lively because it's feeding time, but I have done it in the AM and the PM and have always seen the animals. Make sure that you check the sheet with the character greetings. Book ALL restaurants online at least a month prior to the trip or you may not get in or have to wait a really long time. A Bugs Life may be too scary for Preschoolers. We had to leave it about 10 minutes into the show. Make sure to get a picture of the Tree Of Life. It's magnificent.

"animal kingdom"

This is a great place of exploration for kids. Besides animals it has a great way of showing you different types  of plants and trees that are inside disney. It has many rides too but this is more of a visual park. Remember to bring a bathing suit because the rapids are the best place too cool of in the summer months.

"Not as great as Magic Kingdom..."

We did not last here very long with my two year. Besides the fact that the rides are spaced very far apart, there is not much to appeal to the younger set. We did enjoy the petting zoo and the safari, but the distance traveling to and from each feature was a bit much.

"Laid back Disney"

The Animal Kingdom is so unique and unlike all the other parks.  It makes for quite a laid back day.  We always enjoy our days at the Animal Kingdom because it is less hectic than the other 3 parks.  The rides are also quite intriguing.  We love the roller coaster and water rides!

"AMAZING PARK!"

Animal Kingdom rocks. It comes in 2nd for my favorite Disney parks. My kids LOVED seeing all the animals, and the thrilling rides were fun too! Similar to Epcot, you can walk through and experience different culture on your way to Expedition Everest. The dinosaur themed area is really fun, too. And the Tree of Life is really neat! We ate lunch at Resturauntasaurus & the kids LOVED it!

"Favorite park for kids."

This was the first park we took my daughter to and it was her favorite. There were so many characters here to sign autograph books. Plus the Lion King show was fantastic! The safari is best at the end of the day because the animals seem to get fed then. They are very active and easily seen. The only downfall is this is when the parade is taking place. No line at least. I used to live in Orlando and always recommend going to Disney in September-Oct, Jan- Feb. These are the slower times and much more pleasant to visit.

"Definitely for 5 and up"

Our triplets were 4 yrs. old when we visited Animal Kingdom.  They were too little to ride most of the rides and they freaked out when we tried to watch Bug's Life in 3D!!  They lasted less than 2 minutes.  It blows air and water on you and vibrates the seats.  They enjoyed the Africian Safari.  It was a nice slow ride and they got to see TONS of animals.  They also enjoyed Kali River Rapids but don't forget to take an extra change of clothes or take your shoes off and put them in a water proof bag during the ride.

"Truly Magical"

We took our little boy to Disney in December of 2010.  It was by far the best family vacation we've ever had.   We spent ten days and got to spend a lot of time at each park.  He love the Tree of Life at the Animal Kingdom.  He was fascinated trying to see all the different animals in the tree.  He loved going to DinoLand USA and really enjoyed the dino playground!!  He loved going on "safari's" and seeing all the animals.  It was a really neat park that added education to fun!

"Love Disney!"

You have to love Disney! I don't care how old you are, but once you enter the gates, you feel like you're a kid! The rides are amazing, yes there are lines, but for most of them it's worth the wait. I CANNOT wait to go back and explore Disney some more!

"Love!"

I've been to Animal Kingdom with and without kids, with the most recent visit  last March on a big family trip. I wish we could have visited this park more than one day. The only little one in the group was my 13-month-old, and he could not get enough of all the animals on the safari ride, as well as all the animals around the park. For the adults, the Everest and the dinosaur rides were huge hits. I really appreciate that Disney has a special mom area in each park for changing and nursing, but I'm glad I weaned my son before the trip. With only one mom area per park (usually at the front of the park), I could see how it would be a trek to get there from the other side of the park when you have an infant who wants to eat right then. I'll be glad to go back to Disney when my son is older and can enjoy the sights and rides. Even though Disney is great, when there are no other kids in the group, having a 13-month-old is honestly a hassle. Someone always has to stay back with him on rides he's not allowed on, so someone's always feeling a little left out. And more often than not, that someone was my husband and me.

"It's a Disney Zoo, what's not to love?"

Fabulous zoo, in typical Disney fashion. My 2 and 5 year old love this place too. Authentic looking villages to tour through while looking at awesome animals. Disney has done a good job at making things appear to be open and safari like. There are some pretty decent eateries here as well. Try to catch the Lion King show, very good but tends to be at difficult times to fit in.

"Go early!"

It's Disney, so of course it's going to be top notch family entertainment, but here are some helpful tips:
Go early! Call ahead or check online and find out when it opens and get there then even if it sounds early! The animals will be out and ready to play before the hot Florida sun bakes them to a crisp! Usually, around 10:00am the animals go into hiding because they are smarter than humans that continue to walk around in the 100 degree weather getting blisters, sunburn and a general all around cranky attitude! First stop should be the Safari Ride. With any luck you'll see the Warthogs and other magnificent creatures!
Must dos- A bugs life 3-D show, Everest Roller Coaster (use the kid swap) and the Dino area.

"For all the animal lovers"

This was the best part of our Disney adventure.  Every where you go is some animal themed activity.  You have shows, trails of animals a safari and more.  The disney characters are dressed in their safari best.  This is one of the parks that you can buy fresh fruit also.  This place showcases different parts of the world and has the animals to reflect that area.  It has activities for kids of all ages.  Has mild rides for the younger kids and roller coasters for the big kids.  The safari and raft ride is the best part of the trip.  This is the one park that no matter how busy it got it did not seem like that many people were there.  Great enjoyment for everyone.

"Animal Haven"

Disney's Animal Kingdom opens visitors up to the importance of animals and preserving their existence.  It's almost like a zoo theme-park, because there are many animals found throughout the actual park.  There are rides, shows, dining options, and shopping opportunities available within this park's boundaries.  It's a fun place!

"Zoo away from home"

My kids are suckers for animals so its not surprise that they LOVED this park. The safari definitely made it worthwhile. We got to see the lions, elephants, and giraffes up close which they were amazed by. They loved the little story behind the safari. NOT a ride to go on if you hate bumps cause wow it was one heck of a ride!

Overall the park is full of neat animals from all different parts of the world. We took some great pictures and saw animals we never knew existed. The monkeys were the best!

"We absolutely love this park..."

It is the best of both worlds - Disney-themed fun and a zoo all in one! Our little one (almost two) is fascinated by animals but also loves Mickey Mouse, so this let us show him both in one day. This park is also shady and gorgeous, with plenty of rides that are fairly low key for resting. This is big benefit if you go on a hot day. And Expedition Everest (for big kids and grown ups) is probably the best ride in all four DisneyWorld parks. SO fun!

"Amazing Adventure!"

Disney does it very well with Animal Kingdom. Its the best zoo around! There's always animals to be seen, fun things to do and of course, it's Disney! The rides are really great and worth waiting in line for. The safari ride is really great and you get to see tons of animals. The Camp Mickey Minnie area is lots of fun and you can even see and get your photo taken with Minnie and Mickey! The Lion King show is spactacular even if your young one will be expecting the animated version, not the live version. You should take your kids at least once to AK. Well worth the money!

"Great park"

This place is awesome.  I love animals and this is a fun, different place to see animals and interact with them.  During the summer it can get hot because there isnt much of a "draft" that goes through the park.  They do have misting fans in several locations.  It is quite shady though.  If you are lucky enough, talk to a Disney team member about sitting in the front row of The Lion King...well worth it...a totally different experience.

"Great!!!"

This park was kind of the one we expected to be kind of boring, but we were definitely in for a treat!! The animal safari ride was very cool and kids would enjoy it too. They had many rides and all the lines were much shorter than the ones at the other disney parks. The parade was cute had lots of people dressed as animals on stilts, Very Cool! Don't miss out on this park, it was actually super cool!
