Places for your younger kids to burn off steam if your plane gets delayed or you're extra early for the flight.
McDonald's Play Area - D33
Pepsi Junior Flyer Clubs - B12, C14, D30
These Junior Flyer club in Terminal B is a 685-square-foot area is aviation themed with runway, roadway, car, airplane, and control tower. Most of the equipment is padded and there's plenty of room for moms and dads to keep watch of the kids. The other two clubs in terminals C and D are slightly smaller.
The Skylink tram which connects all the terminals together is always a fast and fun ride for kids as well.
In a day of travel with little ones they really needed the down time. My 2 year old had a blast running and jumping on the rubberized play equipment while his daddy and I got a breather from the exhausting task of trying to keep him from being destructive or otherwise socially inappropriate! I only wish it were larger or there were more of them because it was pretty crowded.
What a great idea! Traveling with kiddos is not always easy. That's why I love the DFW airport. It's really hard for little kids to stay seated in an airplane and be all couped up, and if you're layed over or waiting for your plane to arrive, the play areas are a lifesaver. :)
The public play areas in DFW are great for toddlers to play in. There are big planes and cars to crawl on and a few activities around on the walls.
But, if you are a American Admirals member, don't pass up the Admirals club in terminal A. It has a children lounge with computers for older kids and a TV. Not a lot of actual activities for toddlers, but it is a private room away from the rest of the club goers. It was a life saver on one of our recent trips where we had a 2 hour layover in Dallas.
We stopped through DFW for a 3 hour layover and the Pepsi Junior Club was the perfect place for our neice and nephews (ages 2-5) to stretch their legs. It's a decent sized area with a pretend runway, roadway, bridge, car, plane, luggage, air traffic control tower and wall paintings for the kid's to play with.
