Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve

"Easy Hike"

The granite outcropping is a wonderfully surreal magic place… East on I-20, the Davidson-Arabia Nature Preserve is just about a mile south of Stonecrest Mall and quite easy to get to; a DeKalb County park, the parking and entrance is free. Additionally, the PATH bike trail runs through the park.
The loop trail takes you through the woods, by the quarry lake and then up the outcropping. There are quite a number of geocaches along the way, too.
The hike is not strenuous and not very long, but good shoes are a good idea as there are loose chippings on the outcrop, of course.
