This is a great place to take a kid who LOVES firefighters. Not stroller friendly, from what I remember, but there is a lot of neat memorabilia and I would like to go again now that my kids are older (and out of strollers). We took a tour with a homeschool group and the staff was very friendly.
Everyone is fascinated with firefighters. You can see more than one hundred years of city history at the Dallas Firefighters Museum. The museum is housed in a restored 1907 fire station that includes an 1884 horse-drawn steamer and a 1936 ladder truck among the many historical displays and exhibits.
