"Amazing scenery"

We ate at the culinary Institute the first time I visited wine country.  It was a great experience I am glad I had but I would not go again because of the price.  The place is beautiful and the food is excellent so if you are looking for a good experience and don't mind paying for it I would highly recommend checking this place out.  They had a great wine sampler and lots of unique food choices.

"Fun with the Family"

A massive landmark guarded by towering palms, Greystone was built in 1889 with 22-inch-thick, hand-cut volcanic stone blocks. Today it’s one of the nation’s most prestigious culinary colleges, the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone (CIA). Plan at least an hour to wander around, see the food and wine museum, and browse the school store—a blockbuster of a gourmet emporium, where CIA logo attire and 1,500 cookbook titles are just part of an unbelievable inventory of tools and gifts in an environment reminiscent of southern Europe.
The attractive, noisy restaurant and outdoor terrace, which overlook an ancient oak forest and rolling vineyards, are pricey for families, and the food often fails to measure up to top valley restaurants. Graduate chefs are on view, preparing Spanish tapas and Mediterranean cuisine. A drink and snack on the terrace is a pleasant experience.
Kids enjoy the medieval castle look of the interior. Restless youngsters, accompanied, of course, can run around on the beautiful grounds; paths wind through aromatic herb gardens. Take budding chefs on the teaching kitchen tour in the upper reaches of the building.

"CIA in Napa Valley"

We've been here twice- once before kids and once with an infant.  Great ambiance, however, the wine list is overpriced and so is the food.  There are lots of better dining options in Napa Valley.
