"Nice to get a sense of West Florida seaside"

I live in Crystal River and find this place representative of most of Tampa Bay area/Middle Florida seaside.  You see swamp-like marshes similar to Tybee Island, GA.  You also see a beautiful river and the occasional Indian manatee if it is manatee season.  Several artifacts as mentioned in the below  review are interesting to see too.   This is good for all ages as children will learn to appreciate nature in its 'natural' form.

"Fun with the Family"

Above water, you can usually spot the Crystal River’s gentle giants from lofty look-outs, such as the one at this fourteen-acre park. Besides manatees, you can see six towering mounds—the highest, 30 feet tall—and artifacts left by ancient civilizations in the museum and throughout the grounds.
