While the museum is wonderful, what my family loves to do is head down to the Experience Art Studio. My daughter loves the puppets, wall-size dry erase board, and magnetic puzzles. In addition, there are drawing activies, books, and a listen and draw computer station. We can spend hours there! The studio has hands-on activities for all ages!
What a spectacular addition to our community here in Northwest Arkansas. I suspect that many of the locals don't grasp what a privilege it is to play host to these world renowned works of art. But even if you don't appreciate the art, the architecture of this facility is something to behold. Is is almost as though they carved it out of the valley where it lies. It fits perfectly with the nature around it. Beautiful woods, metals, and glass and very few straight lines. Outside there are miles of trails and paths through the forest with hidden gardens and artwork around every corner. We are fortunate to have this here and to welcome visitors from around the world to see it. Have kids? Try the "drop in" art studio on the lower level. They have some amazing kids programs!
