This quiet, hidden park is beautiful. It is very scenic and very peaceful. There is no play structure but my toddler boys simply loved running around in the grass. There are a lot of picnic areas. I would suggest bringing a ball, frisbee or other activity to keep your kids engaged. There is a visitor educational center and a butterfly garden which is fascinating to little eyes but you should call in advance to find out when the butterflies are in season.
This park has been around for a while. I remember going on a field trip here when I was younger in school! I loved it. There were so many areas to explore! I hope my kids get to experience this place a few times in their lifetime! The guides are very knowledgeable and kids will for sure learn and fun while doing so!
This open space has marshlands and challenging rolling hills. Bring water, and small kids might want to avoid the bare rolling hills. Walking or biking around the paved bay trail offers more benches for rest. If you spot a coyote, best to view from a distance.
