The Cook Forest Sawmill preserves and promotes the arts through classes, festivals and theater productions.
Classes and theater productions are not free.
Cook Forest Sawmill Center for the Arts has two buildings full of crafts, art and craftclasses, various special events, and more. (Site I, which offers crafts, is open only in the summer.) Festivals include a Herb Festival in June, Wood Competition and Show in July, a Pyrography Festival (woodburning) in August, and Dulcimer and Folk Gathering in September. There’s also Creative HeARTS, for the mentally and physically challenged, and a young people’s drama workshop and dance camp.
