"Artsy Love"

Although most kids may find this on the 'boring' side, it doesn't hurt to bring them to the museum to tell and show them about all the different art paintings, pieces, etc. My kids loved looking at all the different colors and attempting to make meaning out of the pictures (although they were way off--it was cute to see them just talking about art).

"Good lesson on art. "

I enjoy stopping in with my kids when we are attending near by museums and are in th area-- because contemporary arts museum is pretty small to warent a trip by itself. This place can expend a child's definition of what art can be. Worth th visit, plus the price cannot be beat.

"Cool and Free"

It's free. The exhibits are dynamic and vibrant. Not to overwhelming to trudge through with kids. Better for older kids and teens. They have a Houston Chronicle Family day about once a month for families to do things with kids at the museum.
