"History at it's best"

This is the place to be to feel the history of Philadelphia.  Kids come here on class trips all the time.  This is where the founding fathers convened and argued about the laws of the land.  Definitely a great place to visit when your kids are learing their American history and they can tell their teachers they visited where it took place.

"Fun with the Family"

If you have some time to spare after viewing the Liberty Bell Center and before your tour of Independence Hall, stop by some of the other interesting sites inside the secured area. Please note that after you have crossed Chestnut Street, you will not be permitted to return to the Liberty Bell Center. You must exit the secured area at a marked exit.
Congress Hall served as the meeting place for both houses of Congress during those early years when Philadelphia was the nation’s capital. Well-informed Park Sevice interpreters are available to answer any questions.

"Impressive bit of history"

They bring you in and you get to sit where our congressional leaders would have sat over two centuries ago.  Upstairs is where the Senate convened.  Many of the desks and chairs are original.  Kids will need to be able to sit and listen as they talk about the history of our government.  I would recommend kids being 6 and older, although some people had much younger children.  It's a wonderful piece of history and great educational experience.
