Compassion is a non-profit that's dedicated to helping the kids in poverty. They offer a tour of their Headquarters in Colorado Springs and enables folks an opportunity to see firsthand their passion for children and to learn how long-term child development battles poverty.
On the tour you can watch engaging video presentations and witness the effect poverty has on children in developing countries. See a replica of a typical home in the developing world, no more than 75 square feet in size. Admire artwork and crafts made by Compassion-assisted children and realize the untapped potential waiting for the opportunity to express itself.
If you are going to be visiting the Colorado area and sponsor a child through Compassion International, you should come and tour the Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs. My children particularly enjoyed the replica of a dwelling in a third world country, the artwork of children from around the world, and the dioramas of different areas in the world that Compassion works. My children proudly display the flags they were given, and they are reminders to pray for the child in India that we sponsor. And if you aren't a sponsor already, you should consider it today! Child sponsorship has greatly enriched our lives and is a tangible way to help a child in need.
