My husband and I had been to some 15 ballparks before having kids. Now that we have little ones, we keep an eye out for parks that are especially fun for the whole family. Comerica Park definitely fits the bill (it makes my top 5 list, in fact).
This is one of the few parks that comes with a ton of kid-friendly extras - like giant tigers and a carousel! We were also impressed with the food choices – which included kid’s meals at a decent price. Our seats were great, though the day game we attended in mid-July was a bit too warm for our liking. To keep cool, we wound up touring the stadium (in the shade) and enjoying all of the park’s extras.
If you like baseball, take the kids and have a ball! Beware: The added attractions aren’t all free, but the cost is pretty nominal, especially if you’re just traveling through.
Comerica Park is absolutely gorgeous. It's very clean too. My family loves the statues all over the park that depict Tiger greats in action. We also love that there really is no bad seat in the house. We have sat everywhere from the cheap seats to renting a box for a party and we have been pleased every time. One tip: although it is more expensive you should plan on paying for parking. The one time we did not we parked right by the police station and that is the time our car got broken into. DO NOT PARK AND WALK. IT IS UNSAFE. Just pay to park and plan to stick near the ballpark for safety.
Home of the Detroit Tigers, this is no ordinary ballpark. Combination theme park, ballpark, and baseball museum, it features huge statues of tigers, a Ferris wheel, carousel (with tigers, of course) and a fountain that celebrates each home run with colored lights and music.
My husband and I have been to this park on several occasions. We have gone to see the Detroit Tigers play the Cleveland Indians. The stadium is very nice and well built. Other stadiums that I have been to have been very steep and the seating was very packed and close together but this place was not. The food is pretty average for a ballgame. I would definitely recommend this ballpark to anyone who would like to go see a great game.
One of our most favorite things to do is to catch a Detroit Tigers game at Comerica Park. The atmosphere is great. There are several activities for the kids to do like a mini Ferris wheel, and a carousel. They do cost extra, but great to take advantage of a couple times in a season. Our favorite thing is the Friday night fire works shows. They are incredible!!!
Overall the park is pretty nice. They have a good assortment of food available and the prices aren't too out of control. There is a neat food court area so you don't have to walk all over the place trying to find something for everyone. They do fireworks on Saturday games that are pretty impressive. The ticket prices are reasonable as well!
What kid doesn't love the excitement of a baseball park? This is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. Tickets are reasonably priced and it's such a fun atmosphere. My 3 year old loves all the excitement here and always wants to go again for another game.
Who doesn't enjoy a good old fashion Baseball game? Go TIGERS!!! Comerica Park is anything but Old-Fashion...kids of any age will have a Blast here. Although my daughter's attention span isn't long for the actual game...she loves the carousel and the Musical water fountains!!! They also have a ferris wheel, which she is a little small for yet. And during the summer they usually have fireworks after the games on Friday night. Don't forget to look for Paws, the mascot!!!
