"Fun with the Family"

Costumed artisans, craftspeople, and street musicians keep alive the skills, arts, and crafts—blacksmithing, thread spinning, thatched roofing, hearth cooking, and more—of colonial days. Children can participate in some of the crafts or simply listen to costumed guides explain the history of the museum’s ten homes and workshops. Learn about the lifestyles of eighteenth-century Spanish officers commissioned to this strange new land so far from home.
