Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site is a great place top explre colonial life. You can observe archaeologists preserving old foundations and records from the colonial settlement. You may even get the chance to participate in archaeological digs! This is a great day trip for 4th graders studying colonial times. It really brings what they are hearing in class to life!
