It is one of the few Florida resorts with a kids’ program that includes infants, ages four to twenty-three months. Kids as young as four years old can get their fins wet on the Scuba Experience. The resort also caters to older children and adults, with circus courses in juggling, trapeze, and clowning. Each Thursday night the kids put on a circus under the real Big Top. Like all Club Meds, the emphasis is on activity, and there is plenty to do at this riverside property with its golf, river beach, swimming pools, trapoline, fitness center, sailing and waterskiing lessons, tennis courts, in-line skating and half-pipe ramp, pitch-and-putt course, basketball, volleyball, and beach shuttle. It has a French flair, and kids get exposed to people from many cultures. Ask about special family plans.
My hubbie, mom & 2 boys (then 6 months & 2 yrs old) stayed at the Sandpiper Club Med in April 2008. We did not take advantage of the kids club but had a great time, nonetheless. The kids enjoyed the pool, beach & playground. The staff was very friendly & the resort was minutes away from all amenities. On the down side, the rooms could use some updating. We had ants in our room so we had to be careful not to leave food/drinks out. It also took us an hour or so to get to the resort from the airport ... a little far when travelling with toddlers. But all in all, I'd recommend this to any family looking for an all-inclusive, toddler-friendly resort.
