Throughout the spring and summer the park comes alive with an Easter egg hunt, a concert series, and baseball and softball tournaments. "Lots of Activities at This Park"

When you are in Burlington, make sure you visit City Park, especially if you have young children. This seventy-six-acre park offers miniature golf and amusement rides ($) in addition to traditional park facilities, such as picnic tables and a pool. But the centerpiece of the park is a Dentzel Menagerie Carousel made in 1910. This is a beautiful piece of work. The carousel has forty-six hand-carved animals, no two alike. Included are twenty-six horses with real horsehair tails and a variety of other bright animals ranging from pigs to reindeer. Other rides, including a train and boats, are small and great for younger children and even toddlers.
