"Indoor rock climbing fun!"

We went here for a private birthday party on a Sunday evening.  This was a great venue because it had something for everyone for all skill levels and age groups.  My toddler had a great time simply jumping in the two huge jumpers while the rest of us could play dodgball, basketball and ofcourse rock climb!

"Affordable fun for school aged kids"

Last Presidents Day our family decided to do something fun that was local and affordable.  We decided on rock climbing at City Beach in Fremont.

Priced at $15 per adult and $13 for a child under 12 (at least in early 2010) we felt was a good price for a day of fun.  Unexpectedly we found out that the price was truly for the whole day.  They told us we could leave and just show our receipt to get back in.  This was pure bonus.

We climbed until we were exhausted, left and went somewhere else for lunch, hung out at a nearby mall and when we felt rested enough we went back and climbed again until we were re-exhausted.  Our son was 8 years old at the time and while it was a challenge he was delighted every time he was able to go just a little higher.

The only drawback: if you don't know how to belay you either have to pay extra to take a course in belaying or you're limited to the self belaying courses of which there are six.  Some of the more interesting courses were not an option for us because of this.

But all in all we had a full day of fun here.
