The School offers training for adults and children in recreational, pre-professional and professional circus arts. Chinese acrobatics, flying trapeze, and clowning. You can learn anything from aerial arts, trampoline, movement, and juggling. Workshops are great for one-day activities and classes are fun for more serious students.
The Circus Center's annual spring carnival is a wonderful opportunity for kids to try a host of circus arts for very little money. Sample the trapeze, tightrope, juggling, stilts, and for very small kids, a mini obstacle course. We were impressed with how friendly the instructors were, and how well they were able to instruct the kids. Rather than allowing my daughter to passively tumble through the obstacle course, the instructors showed her how to do it with style and panache!
I was so impressed with the Circus Center's friendly, supportive atmosphere.
My daughter can not seem to sit in one place for more than 5 minutes. I was hestitant to take her out but I was wrong. She absolutely LOVED the the circus!!! It was very entertaining because as we all know circus' do stunts and out of the ordinary things. Lets just hope she doesn't try to imitate them when we go home. haha.
Came here for one of their Saturday morning flying trapeze workshops with a bunch of high schoolers I was working with at the time who absolutely loved the class. Some of the kids were absolutely terrified of the height, but everyone was glad that they did it in the end. Fun to see how inflexible some folks are.
The teachers are very supportive and amazing coach. We were a class of about 6 and they had each of us practice grabbing the bar, practicing the commands, flipping upsidedown in preparation for the "catcher" to grab you when you're up in the air. Great bonding experience for everyone involved.
