"Fun with the Family"

For the warmth of salvation, the locals flocked to this church designed by James Wren in 1767 and consecrated in 1773. It was originally called the Church in the Woods because of its setting on the outskirts of town. The notable parishioners who rode to services here included George Washington, whose family pew is marked and maintained, and Robert E. Lee.
