"Fun with the Family"

In the wonderful Julia Morgan–designed, former YMCA building, displays of clothing, slippers of nineteenth-century Chinese pioneers, a colorful 1888 Buddhist altar, antique swords, photos, parade dragons, opium pipes, a fishing sampan, and other artifacts tracing the history of Chinese immigration in America from the early 1880s to today. The gift shop here is a good place for inexpensive souvenir shopping.
