During a visit in China Town we made a quick stop into the Kite shop. A lot of kites but probably not worth visiting unless you are there to see other attractions. We found this place during a self guided walking tour for which we found on About.com.
At one of the world’s great kite shops, there are Asian fighting kites; multi-level, dual-control stunt kites; dragon kites; windsocks; and even plain diamond-shaped paper kites you put together yourself. The nicest ones are made of fabric, and they make dramatic decorative pieces for the home, especially in a child’s room. The best place in town to fly kites is on the Marina Green, where you have plenty of room to roam and the chance to see some fabulous, big kites in the air on weekends.
