"Portland Children's Museum"

I would definitely have a membership to this museum if we lived in Portland!  It is so kid friendly and we have been several times while visiting family.  My daughter spends what seems like hours in the firetruck and my son loves the toddler area.

One of the best things we've done there is celebrate New Years' Eve.  They do tons of activities throughout the day but at 12 noon, they have a big countdown and a balloon drop which the kids just love.  It is definitely worth a trip!

"Simply AWESOME!"

If I lived in Portland I would buy a membership and take my kids to this museum at least once a week... probably every day in the summer! It is super fun for kids and adults. Very relaxed and not too huge so you don't feel overwhelmed. The people who work there LOVE kids and do a fantastic job. There are a million ways for kids to get involved with the programs that they put on. I think the ball room was our family's favorite! Tons of tracks and pulleys and pipes and tunnels to roll balls through, down, around... you could really spend the whole day right there. Great location, too! Easy city to park in and lots of great family-friendly shops and restaurants.
