The Chicago Air & Water Show is the largest spectator event in the United States and the longest ongoing show of its kind in North America.
The Chicago Air and Water show is a blast. It's free, so that's already pretty excellent, but it is very, very well done. It's also quite loud, so I would recommend ear plugs or perhaps not sitting right next to the water (although I'm not sure that would help very much). The waterfront gets VERY crowded and parking is atrocious, so I would recommend taking public transport or the trolley. Not only is it more convenient but it's a lot cheaper than finding parking. Even if your kiddos aren't big airplane fans, the sheer awesomeness of the show should be enough to keep them enthralled.
Super fun! I had so much fun & so did the people I went with! I cannot wait until I go again! All the activites are so much fun! The gift shops are great & so are the resturants! So much fun to spend your day here! You will have a great time being here!
If your child is an airplane buff, this is the show to see. The show id long, so I would suggest pack plenty of snacks, suntan lotion and water. The good thing, is that it is in the city, so you can easily take a break and walk along the beaches or around the city. Plenty to see. It is loud so I suggest earplugs for young children.
We attended this show every year when we lived in the Chicagoland area - it is easily one of the BEST air and water shows I have ever seen. People of all ages will be enthralled by the sheer skill demonstrated by the pilots and other performers. It is really a must-see!
