There is so much to do here. Parades, rodeos, concerts, shopping, fair rides and more. This is a great family event and the community of Cheyenne just surrounds you! Beautiful atmosphere and beautiful people are the thing that I remember best. We'll be taking our kids again!
One of the best rodeos around! There are many activities for kids that are free like the Indian Village and Wild Horse Gulch. The midway is always crowded and not unlike any others. Food is great if you are looking for something carnival authentic. Free slack rodeos in the early mornings when it is cool out and the sun hasn't yet risen fully. Free activities all through the city all of CFD. Last full week of July.
There are so many things for families at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. We bought tickets for the rodeo, but the Indian Village, museum and many parades, including the pancake breakfast are free to the public. There is a carnival midway too. Our daughters were 2 and 5 when we visited, but I think it's fun for all ages!
