"AMAZING ART"
The artwork people create with chalk at this festival is amazing!!! I love that you have all sorts of different teams competing. You have some professional artists, you have some families drawing together, and some coworkers as well. Overall it is a fun event to visit, especially since you can shop along the way!

"So Cool!"
This festival is so cool! There are such awesome pieces to see. The street is closed to traffic and there is chalk art all over the ground. You can take a stroll and check out the amazing pieces. You can choose your favorites and then check out the winners according to the judges.

"The Magic of Art!"
This is one of my favorite events of the summer in Salt Lake! It is one of the only times where you can see visual art as a performance as these temporary masterpieces are created. It takes place in June and features around 80 artists who create several chalk art murals on the road in the middle of the Gateway Mall. It is sponsored by The Utah Foster Care Foundation to bring awareness to Foster Care in Utah.
It is fun for the whole family to walk and see the art as it is being created. My little girls just loves seeing the art. While is it advertised as a Friday and Saturday event, I personally would suggest not coming down Friday alone as the art is just beginning and there really isn't anything to see.
There are many of activities geared for the kids including their own chalk art area, games, booths, music and more. It is an event not to be missed!
