"Fun with the Family"

A dozen art galleries are scattered about like candy waiting to be unwrapped for the arty family unit. Carnegie Art Museum is housed in an imposing, two-story structure built in 1906 as a library. The museum’s permanent collection focuses on twentieth century California painters. Ever-changing exhibits highlight photography, sculpture, oils, watercolors, and some humorous displays. Across the street is Centennial Plaza, opened in late 2005, with a fourteen-screen first-run movie theater, restaurants, shops, and for the adults, Herzog Wine Cellars (the nation’s largest kosher winery).
