"Carl Sandburg Home"

This is a fun experience for the kids on a dime.  You do have to pay to tour the home, but you can walk around the grounds for free.  The hike and trail up to the home is lovely.  At the home their do have a barnyard where you can pet the animals, free of charge.  At Christmas they bring in storytellers and folk music players.  The kids are able to interact with the performers.  The gift shop is small, but has a nice selection of books.
