"Relaxing game in a beautiful setting"

How many traveling families can say that they’ve golfed 18 holes at a world famous ski resort?  My family can admit to this feat; 18 holes nearby the Red Pine Gondola at Canyons Resort’s Ski Beach.   This is my kind of golf with 3 kids in tow and only a putter in hand.

My family checked out the new Canyons Resort putting course where we had a fantastic time meandering through the beautiful 18-hole course with our high end putters.  My highly competitive 10 year old son earned several birdies throughout the course and my 7 year old daughter was proud of her awesome putt through a secret underground tunnel to the green below.  My two year old had just as much fun exploring the course’s bridges, rocks, sand pits and flowers as she did hitting her ball; we’ll  have teach her about  golf course etiquette at age three.

The putting course is built within a relatively compact space, slightly terraced up the Canyons Resort ski beach.   I enjoyed golfing in this small space with kids since I was able to allow them to golf at their own pace while still keeping an eye on each one of them.  Equipment can be rented at Canyon Sports located near the putting course.  You may also bring your own equipment and save a few dollars on the green fees.

In all, we spent a relaxing and entertaining hour with our kids at this new putting course.  I would recommend this activity to families ready to unwind after an active day on the mountain.  The location is beautiful and the course is well planned and unique, a mini version of alpine wilderness.

Disclosure: Although I received complimentary equipment rental and green fees, my reviews are always my own opinions and are not influenced by staff or its affiliates.
