"Great for tweens and teens"

If your family loves paddling on a peaceful, scenic river, then this is an ideal trip for you!  The outpost is located off of I-75 just north of downtown Tampa.  The staff at Canoe Escape was friendly and helpful.  The bus ride from the outpost to the launch point is a bit rustic (an old converted school bus) but it is fun.  Be sure to pack a picnic lunch, sunscreen and water!  Leisurely paddle downstream, stopping along the way to enjoy your lunch, then load back up in your canoes for the easy  paddle to the pick up point.  You might see alligators, snakes, birds and turtles depending on the season and weather conditions.  The canoe route is partially shaded and sometimes your canoe can get stuck on fallen cypress trees hidden underwater.  It's a great outdoor adventure well suited to families with teens and tweens.  Have fun on your escape!

"Fun with the Family"

Canoeing on the Hillsborough River is a great way to explore local ecology. Ibises, alligators, ospreys, and herons course among the gigantic oaks and cypress trees. Canoe Escape provides outfitting and shuttle service for two-hour to full-day excusions.
