one of our fav. parks in the summertime. Bring your swimgear and your kids can cool off in the water that sprays out of the arch next to the playground.
Water is off on Monday's, check the city of campbell website under parks for hours. Small, fenced-in playground for toddlers, maybe 4 and under (swings for the babies too) with a fun slide and bigger playground for older kids. Not a lot of shade in the summer. Bathrooms close, vending machines for water and soft drinks and a ice cream push cart guy is always around during lunchtime. Close to downtown campbell and we usually visit here in the fall and spring as well after the sunday farmer's market.
Totally agree with the previous review on the Campbell playground equipment status. The bike/walking path is great. The water feature was less than exciting since it was just one arch that sprayed water. It's a fairly small area (probably no more than 8 ft x 8ft). If you're looking for water fun, I would recommend heading over to John D Morgan or Jack Fisher.
There was a fun little water pump in the little toddler area where the kids could fill up their buckets and then dump the water in the cement pipe that flowed into another cement bowl below. It was pretty dirty and filled in with tan bark and sand, but if you're willing to clean it up a little, it can serve as a great water table/play area for toddlers.
For the younger, stroller bound kids, this is a great place to take them for a long stroll. The park connects to the Los Gatos Creek Trail which is paved and scenic, so you'll run into lots of joggers and bikers too.
Playground-wise, I've seen a lot better, but they did have a carousel which my 2 year old loves (at least for a couple minutes until he's dizzy). He also enjoyed the small bridge over the Lost Gatos Creek, but wouldn't have lasted long on the trail without a stroller.
