"Burlington Park"

With a Carousel and a train, how could we not enjoy this park? Our kids love riding on the carousel and the train. We don't get out there a whole lot, but when we do it is deffinately worth the trip. The cost for the rides are really fare, which just adds to it's attratction!

"Burlinton City Park has a lot of fun in one area!"

I am originally from Burlington and have grown up going to the City Park every year for all kinds of events.  However, I have really seen the joys and wonders of this park after watching my son be able to go and have fun there!  The Burlington City Park has a playground, rides for kids, picnic shelters and plenty of walking areas in an area that feels like the woods (but you're in the middle of the city).

Kids 48 inches tall and under benefit the most by being able to ride all of the rides.  Out of five rides, three are exclusively for this group:  Helicopter/Airplanes, Boats, and Cars/Trucks.  My son loves each one.  The boat ride has been at the park since I was kid.  While the airplane ride has been overhauled and the cars/trucks ride is fairly new to the park.

Then there is the train ride.  With its whistle you can hear for miles and it's powerful engine, you feel as you're on a journey.  When I was kid, we went to the park quite often with our Day Camp and we loved to ride the train.  My friends and I would come up with a destination as to where were going and what would do when we got there.  The train also goes through a tunnel, which every kid has to scream through!  Oh, that train presents a lot of wonderful memories.

Burlington City Park has the oldest carousel in the U.S.  Every September, they have a carousel festival which is full of wonderful happenings, arts, music, and food.  This festival is to celebrate the carousel which was built in 1910.  It is such a joy to ride and will make any adult feel like a kid and any kid feel like they as tall as the world.

Burlington City Park also has many shelters and two gazebos to rent.  They have a birthday party plan which you can host your child's party and have ride passes, etc.  All in all this is a great park for the whole family to enjoy!

The rides are $.75; you can pay 10 tickets for $6 or buy a season riding pass.
