Climb the steps between Bunker Hill and downtown LA (between Hope & 5th Street). Landscaping and a water feature make this a beautiful area.

"A quick visit"

We went out the doors of the library on 5th Street and there were the flight of stairs up Bunker Hill. And my kids love steps - so it was worth an explore.

We took the escalators on the side of the steps all the way to the top (about 3 flights of escalators). From the top we had a great view of the library where we just were. It was a beautiful view. It's also astounding to stand at the base of the tallest sky scraper in Los Angeles - the iconic U.S. Bank building (the one that the huge alien spacecraft in "Independence Day" landed on!)

We took the steps down and the kids enjoyed seeing the "water fall" fountain in the middle of the steps. A quick visit, but one they will probably remember!
