Broadway at the beach is an amazing place to take kids. You can let them ride an artificial plane simulator, let them run down the piers and feed the catfish (yuck) and visit a bunch of shops along the way, like a caramel store (great for moms), and plenty of kiosks along the way. Like many reviewers said, there are boats you can ride across, but we decided to walk the piers. If you pick up a guide, you can get coupons and discounts for almost everything there. MajiQuest was a huge hit with my son, and we also went to the IMAX theater for an ocean-themed movie. Also, on our last night we scored free tickets to the Palace Theater for Le Grand Cirque, which was fun.
Broadway at the Beach has something for everyone, whether you want to pick up a few souvenirs, take in a round of mini-golf, catch a movie, or grab a bite to eat.
Attractions include Ripley’s Aquarium, a carousel park, a movie theatre and an arcade. There were a number of restaurants, and we chose to eat at a delicious barbecue joint called Sweet Carolina’s. The hush puppies were amazing!
The kids enjoyed posing for pictures with dinosaurs and pretending to be dancers from the South Pacific. After that, we stopped by Wee R Sweets to fill up on Salt Water Taffy to bring back home to my husband who missed out on the trip.
We had a great time at MagiQuest, and the kids were begging to go to the movies, try the arcade, and enjoy some Dragon-themed miniature golf. Unfortunately, we ran out of time! Broadway at the Beach is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening whether you’re feeling hungry, adventurous, or you simply need a break from the sand.
Disclosure: Broadway at the Beach is a free attraction, but I did visit as part of a media trip from the Myrtle Beach CVB. All opinions are my own.
We go to Broadway on the Beach every trip to Myrtle Beach. There are a variety of places to eat and unique shops, as well as some other entertainment. Miniature golf, 3D movies, a ride area... However, it is all priced for tourists and nothing is cheap! Also, if you go later at night, there will be many scantily-clad partyin' girls ready hit the clubs in your midst. It is hard to walk around this place without the kids asking for many of its tempting treats, so if you go and don't want to spend too much, prepare the kids for all the temptations!
We had a great time here, just window shopping and soaking in the beautiful SC weather. There is an excellent toy store on the far side of the lake as well as huge candy shop. If you are in the mood there is a movie theaters and other fun stuff to do-carnival rides, imax, mini-golf, wizarding theme park, aquarium. We didn't do anything but a few rides because we are a family on a budget! But it was still a really fun time just strolling on the boardwalk and having dinner at Tony Romas. There were also these cool huge plastic balls floating on the water that you could pay to get inside and "walk on water" Two great things about this place is one, its a break from sand and waves and two, if you have $10 or $100 it's a fun day.
Broadway at the Beach is the perfect place for shopping and dinner. With several restaurants, you're sure to find a place your family will enjoy. There are many well-known brands at Broadway, as well as many unique stores. You can find clothes, jewelry, baseball cards, posters, and everything in between. It is also conveniently located at the Ripley's Aquarium if that interests your kids.
Broadway at the Beach has tons of shops and activities for both kids and adults. The Ripley's Aquarium is probably the best of anything there. If you do anything here you should go to the aquarium which is usually about 17-18 dollars per person. They have a really nice mini golf course, imax theater and tons of shops for the kids to go into and play and make things like the candy shop and build a bear. This is a great place for the whole family to go and spend a day at Myrtle Beach and do lots of things in one place.
We love, love, love Broadway at the Beach! Broadway at the beach offers a great deal of unique shops, loads of restaraunts, bars, rides for small children, an I-max theater, and mini golf!! There is literally fun for the entire family at Broadway at the beach. My family and I have started renting a condo near Broadway at the Beach because it provides my family with so much enterainment!
Bring your walking shoes, there is a great deal of walking at Broadway at the beach.
I miss Broadway at the Beach...I spent holidays and summers down at Myrtle Beach and always went to this place with my cousin. It is just a fun, wholesome thing to do and a great way to spend time outdoors and relax on a bench. It has changed alot since I have been there but whenever I am in South Carolina, I will always go back to Broadway at the Beach.
Broadway at the Beach was so much fun with our little ones and it would be fun with older kids too. There was so much to do with the carnival rides, paddle boats, trampolines, and miniature golf and so much more. It is pricey with the fact that every activity costs something, unless you just want to window shop. But it is a place we could have spent all day, if we'd had the money.
Easily accessable for families with children in strollers. This is a shoppers paradise:) Our favorite part was the Tanger outlet there. There once again are stores centered with children in mind and a great food court for when you or the little ones get tired and hungry. The smell of cinnamon rolls permeated the place at Christmas time and had my boy begging for a treat. The deals are awesome if you are looking to save some money especially with after Christmas deals :)
This is a one stop shop. There is shopping, dining, and fun activites in one place. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and even a movie threater. In the center there are activites that resemble an amusement park. You could easily spend the entire day here. It would be a fun place to take your whole family no matter the age.
This is the place for everyone! It has things for all ages and it doesn't matter if you are a girl or boy! They have so many different stores to fit any style clothes, jewelry, activities, men stuff or just wanting things from the beach! It is very easily accessible a lot of parking and a movie theater right there in the same part of the mall! Very fun and like I said before wonderful for all ages and genders!
We always enjoy going to broadway at the beach when we are in town. There are so many shops to check out and different places to stop in an eat at. The best part is the mini golf course there, there is a dragon that pops out of the top of the mountain and spits fire. Theres magiquest and the aquarium which are both two awesome things to check out while you are in town. Theres a movie theater too. Our fav. place to eat here is at UNO chicago grill. Good food, good times.
Boardwalk at the Beach has endless shopping and restaurants. We went for dinner on the 4th of July. We managed to get an outside table overlooking the center lake. We had an amazing view for the evening's fireworks show. This place isn't anything special, but it's a good place to go with your family when you get sick of the beach.
they do have lots of stores here so many that you can get confused and get lost. so my advice is that if you do go here make sure you come with a friend and bring walking shoes cause your feet will hurt from all the walking. they have fish in the water .i didn't get a chance to eat here to busy shopping.they had so many stores there
A fun and unique place to be! Lots of rides and food. Not to mention the shops that seem to go on forever. The kids Love to play here and so will you. My daughter loved feeding the fish and going on all the rides. And even just watching the people going on the rides she was too afraid to try was entertaining!
I love walking here because it has so many things to do and shop for. We rode the Boat across the water for just a $1 a piece for all day. The kids loved to drive the small boats they have and all of the rides are fun too. They have Magiquest which is so fun!! We went to the Disney store and got great deals on shoes and clothes. Make sure to carry a drink and snacks because it is a very long walk throught that place when its hot outside.
I have always liked Broadway at the Beach. It's very commercial but sometimes that isn't such a bad thing. There are lots of little play areas for kids and all the restaurants are kid friendly for the most part. The Butterfly pavillion is very pretty when it is in season.
We walked around the shops at Broadway at the Beach. Kids may get a little bored if they are not into shopping. There was a neat store called It'Sugar filled with all sorts of candy and candy clothing and accessories. There is also an mini golf course here that is very cool! There are many ice cream shops and great places to eat.
It a big broadwalk on a lake with lots of shops and restaurants. For people who remember the Pavilon they torn down: some of the kiddy rides are there and you can buy tickets. There are playgrounds, water sprinklers, mini golf, and tons more. Highly recommned going early because you will be there a while. And put on good walking shoes.
