"Brasstown Bald"

Brasstown Bald - Nothing bald about the mountain, all lush vegetation. It is the highest point in Georgia. We went there last fall. The route to the mountain is very scenic with all the fall colors. The hike is pretty strenuous, but the view from the top is well worth it. There is a shuttle to the top- costs about $3 one way. We took the shuttle to the top and walked back. The trail is really steep. Great place for a day out for families. The kids enjoy the climb to the tower. A word of caution- If you plan to go with the help of your GPS, beware. It will lead you nowhere. That's what happened to us.
