If your child enjoys nature, then they may like walking through these gardens. They are very pretty and when i was growing up they held a lot of weddings there. It's a great place for photography, but if it's professional you have to pay a fee upfront.
If your kids like the outdoors they will enjoy the gardens here. The botanical gardens are free. The roses are my favorite. There is also a Japanese Garden next door you can pay to get in. They have fish your kids can feed in that one. My daughter enjoyed the gardens very much.
This is one of the prettiest gardens I have been to in a long time. My favorite part of the gardens is the Japanese Gardens. Make sure to check these out while you are there. The prettiest time is in the spring. There are lots of places for the kiddos to run around or to have a family picnic!
Fort Worth is home to the beautiful Botanical Gardens! We love taking a trip to visit the gardens, especially in the Spring when everything is in bloom and the temperatures aren't yet scorching. If you visit the Botanical Gardens, make sure to check out the Japanese Gardens while you're there. They have a large rock garden, a pond, bridges, and lots of beautiful picture taking opportunities.
The Botanical Gardens in Trinity Park is a showcase of 150,000 plants in both formal and natural settings. Small waterfalls, ponds, and pathways abound for a relaxing visit.
Mayfest in Trinity Park (817–332–1055; www.mayfest.org) is a big gathering early in May, with hundreds of arts-and-crafts and food booths, sports activities, competitions for all ages, continuous entertainment, a special children’s area, and a concert by the city symphony.
They have a kids area and activities specifically, but really the whole garden is a great place for kids to explore. I've gone with elementary age kids who loved running around and exploring all the nooks and crannies. We've also gone with my toddler who enjoyed the grassy areas and of course the koi pond. There is always something to see, and the weather is usually nice enough to make the trip enjoyable any time of year.
