This is the most popular viewing spot during the Boston Marathon’s 26-mile Hopkinton-to-Boston race; on any day but Patriots Day, you too can cross the finish line. Runners come from all over the world to compete in this prestigious marathon (in 2007 more than 20,000 runners entered and crossed the finish line!).
The Tortoise and the Hare bronze sculptures are in the Copley Square Plaza in front of Trinity Church, a heartbreaking setting for the non-winners of the race.
