A museum like sawmill and job shop that makes custom trim for Victorian buildings, using the same machines that created the originals. Take a self-guided tour on cat walks overlooking the artisans and watch them turn columns, carve rosettes, and form wooden gutters and gewgaws, or call ahead to ask about scheduled tours.
Surrounded by an enchanting wetlands wildlife sanctuary, the Blue Ox has set up a re-creation of a loggers’ camp, a school, a bird-viewing station, and other attractions.
