Very scenic. Great place to take pictures, portraits, etc... Nice trails. Dog friendly. Nothing special about the trails. The first portion of the trails are not shaded, which can be harsh in the CO sun. Pretty area. Free. Open to the public. Depends on the day, parking can be tight.
This is our de facto weekly hiking spot. It is just down the road, offers lots of trails, both meadows, and tree-shaded paths, wildflowers, rocks to climb on, and everything you'd want out of a good hike. We even see a lady who likes to walk her goats out here! It isn't a terribly long hike, and there are several paths to explore, and offers sweeping views of the city.
