"Tons of potential, but mind the poo"

I was very excited to head here with my son, especially because of the Japanese bridge (I went to high school in Japan).  There is also a bell from Norway, a bench from the UK, a sundial from Germany, and more.

There were some colorful artifacts around the park which made cute backdrops for pictures.  We enjoyed walking the trails and my son got a kick out of waddling with the ducks.

There is so much potential here for some real fun; beautiful open spaces and large shade trees.  It is perfect for picnicking.  EXCEPT the entire park is covered knee deep in goose poo.  OK, maybe not knee deep, but it is everywhere.  It is almost impossible (at least while we were visiting) to take a step without  touching any.  My son was having such a great time that I finally resolved to 'let it go'  But before we got back in the car I had to disinfect him from head to toe, change his clothes and wash his shoes in the restroom.

It has been a year since we've gone.  I hope others have positive updates to share.  I'm not sure they can rid the area of the geese, but maybe there is a way to stay more on top of the clean-up.
