Big Cypress National Preserve

A freshwater swamp that is essential to the Everglades.  Big Cypress National Preserve support the rich marine estuaries along Florida’s southwest coast.  You'll see a mixture of tropical and temperate plant communities that are home to a diversity of wildlife, including the elusive Florida panther and crocodiles galore.  Enjoy hiking, kayaking/canoeing, hunting and ranger led programs.  Some trails are designated for Off Road Vehicle use (ORV).
