The Berkshire Botanical Garden is a not-for-profit, membership-supported, educational institution located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts The Garden was founded in 1934 on 15 acres of donated land at the inter-section of Routes 102 and 183 in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Its public display gardens are among the oldest in the U.S. and have been expanded over the years in breadth and variety through a series of bequests and major gifts.
Berkshire Botanical Gardens is a beautiful place to visit no matter what time of year that you visit. They also have excellent programs for children. I have also attended some informational workshops there, and always come away with something new.
Berkshire Botanical Garden offers fifteen acres of gardens that vary from herbs tolilies to vegetables of all kinds. This is a different kind of green space that young children will enjoy: It’s accessible to them because the plants are just their size! Pinicking is encouraged here. Children’s summer programs are held midweek.
