"Hometown Factory"

I am from Altoona and have been to Benzel's Pretzels many times!  They have a factory and tours for people to see the plant and get a better understanding of how the pretzels are made.  There is also a little retail shop in the entrance where you are able to buy the product, along with many other things.  They sell the "defective" pretzels super cheap and we always used to buy those ones!  There are also empty railroad cars in the parking lot on display for those of you who like that sort of thing.

"Fun with the Family"

You can walk to Benzel’s from the Quaint Corner Children’s Museum. Operated by a third generation of the Benzel family, Benzel’s Pretzel Bakery makes about five million pretzels every day. At one time the pretzels were shaped by hand, but at present the dough goes through an extruder. There is a changing table in the wheelchairaccessible restroom.
