What a terrific show! I went with my brother last Saturday evening, April 2nd, 2011, and had a blast! The music is so moving. I remember as a youngster, I saw the MGM movie version of Singing In The Rain with my parents, and came out of the theater dancing and singing, like I also did last Saturday evening at the Candlelight Dinner Theater. The actors are wonderful and portray the movie characters perfectly. Wesley Alfvin and Colette Peters are perfectly matched in this musical as Don Lockwood & Kathy Selden. Their dance routines were captivating to watch and their vocals were brilliant. I thought Casey Garritano was terrific as Cosmo Brown - very funny and comical to watch. It actually rained on stage and we got a bit sprinkled on, but that was fine with us. We chose to sit at a table titled, "Splash Zone" so we knew ahead of time what to expect. We had fun! The food was very delicious and the service was great. We will definitely return back to see another show very soon.

This is a far cry from a rock concert, so let the kids know in advance. This is where musicals of yesteryear such as Singin’ in the Rain (based on the MGM film), The Sound of Music, and Ain’t Misbehavin’ come alive. Dinner is served a la carte with appetizers, entrees, desserts, and a selection of kid-friendly, non-alcoholic beverages, such as the Melinda May (with coconut cream) and the Show Stopper (a frozen raspberry piña colada and cream concoction).
This is a large theater, which was once a gymnasium. The seating is spacious and comfortable, and the sight lines are excellent, even if you sit in the back at a banquette. It’s a perfect way for the family to enjoy live theater and to learn about the marvelous vintage musicals, where you could really hear the words, and they meant something, too.
I have seen several shows on special occasions at the Candlelight Pavilion and it has been wonderful every time. If you have a child who is celebrating a birthday and you want to do something really special that they will remember fondly for a lifetime, this is the place to take them! I got to see the Sound of Music for my 12th birthday, sitting right up front, and it was so exciting! My high school also had two banquets here, and both times it was just magical. I highly recommend it!
