Belmar Park

"Natural Wonderland in the City"

Belmar Park is a huge natural park in the middle of Lakewood, Colorado -- a fabulous place to explore!  Kountze Lake is the centerpiece of the property and there are trails all around it, as well as decks that stretch out over the water.  The girls loved wandering around through all the different levels.  Lots of wildlife inhabit the park -- watch carefully and see what you can find!

Belmar Park is also the home of the Lakewood Heritage Center and Amphitheater.  There's also a playground in the far northwest part of the park, but we didn't have time to explore the day we visited.
