"Wonderful Updates!"
Freedom Park (AKA Skate Park)
has done some wonderful updates including 2 new HUGE play areas for the kids. Tons of swings. And they are in the process of putting in new bathrooms. They also have a skate park that has a bowl and plenty of ramps. You can also have your childs party there under the covered shelter. I am so glad Beckley has put money into something for the kids!

"New playground equipment!"
A few years back, this was not the greatest park. The playground equipment was outdated and falling apart, and the whole area needed some work. Then a few people came up with an idea to get kids off the streets, skating wise, especially after a kid was killed while skating down a dark road and was hit by a car. They created the skate park. It includes a half pipe, a bowl and several other structures for skaters. Also, a new addition is a full wooden playset donated by Grandview Produce. They are quickly turning this city run park into a great thing!
