"The kids fed the bear cubs!"

While planning our Yellowstone trip, I discovered this place. I knew my kids would enjoy feeding the bear cubs and it would ease the disappointment if we didn't see any bears while camping in Yellowstone. Turns out we did see bears while camping, but ended up coming here anyway... The place is smaller than expected and probably not as entertaining without doing the extras. We took the curator tour ($11.95 each) through the park to feed the bears which was fantastic. To see those bears sit and wave at you so you will throw them food was wonderful. We took so many pictures! And then the kids got to bottle feed cubs ($35 each).  They didn't get to cuddle with them, but they did stand close and  pet the cubs heads while they fed them.  It was a lot of money to do the extras, but they were my entire reason for going so we were prepared.

"Bear World"

Our son loved this!  You can drive your car through the areas as much as you want and see elk, buffalo, goats, and best of all bears.  Then there's a little petting zoo that he loved, were he could actually touch chickens, pigs, even deer!  The only bad thing is it's priced per person and it's a little pricey, so be sure to spend the day there to make it worth it.

"so CLOSE TO WILDLIFE"

We spend this past August in Idaho visiting my sister and had a great morning visiting Bear World.  It is funny that those chose this name, because bears are just a fraction of the experience.  There are bison, elk (including rare white elk), deer, a tame moose, chickens and other fowl, fish, and other petting zoo animals.  There is a drive-thru experience to see most of the wildlife and then an area to see bear cubs in action and a petting zoo.  There are also 4 or 5 kiddie rides (amusement-park like) that are included in the price of the ticket.  It is per van or car load, but still a pretty penny (which is why this got 4 and not 5 stars).  Money aside, our boys consider it the best thing we did in ID.

"Bears are hilarious!"

Our family went to Bear World and it was so much fun! We loved the bears. They were so funny. Some of them were sitting on their behinds with their four legs sticking out. One of the bears was in the water splashing and having a good time. One bear came right up to our car and tried to open the van door with his teeth. We had the scratch marks from his teeth to prove it. They came to feed the bears while we were there. It was interesting to watch. This activity would be fun for any age.

"Up Close and Personal"

This is something you won't want to miss if you are in EAstern Idaho.  They have bears roaming around and you get to drive your cars around right by the bears.  My kids loved it.  They have different sections you get to go in.  They also have moose, dear and a fun little petting zoo.  If you don't want to drive your car into the gates you can choose to ride in one of there cars and you get to feed the bears.  It's good times had by all.
