The American Hiking Society names Point Reyes as one of the top ten most familyfriendly hiking areas in the country. The most popular of dozens of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails is the Bear Valley Trail through forest tunnels, along creeks, and through meadows, ending on a bluff 50 feet above the sea. This easy hike is about 8 miles round-trip. Bikes are okay for all but the last .75 mile, where a bike rack is located; restrooms are halfway.
